Retouching
case studies.
Studio studies that make the thinking behind beauty, editorial and commercial finishing visible.
Why these studies exist
Finished images rarely explain the decisions that created them. These retouching case studies document the brief, technical priorities, working approach and intended outcome behind selected beauty, editorial and commercial studio work.
They are presented as studio studies rather than invented client campaigns. Each one uses imagery from the Midori Studio portfolio to demonstrate a real finishing problem: preserving natural skin texture, creating colour continuity across an editorial sequence, or clarifying materials for commercial production.
The purpose is practical. Photographers and creative teams can use these examples to decide what level of retouching their own images need, prepare clearer references and understand how a consistent professional workflow protects the original capture.
